Laborer The Town of Evansville is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to fill the full-time position in the Public Works Department.
The right candidate would take part in the maintenance of the Town's infrastructure for the Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection, Streets and Alleys, Parks, Sanitation Collection, and other Public Works services.
Applicant must be able to perform a variety of overseeing unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled repairs and maintenance functions involved in the provision of various public works services.
Must have or obtain a WY Water Distribution and Sewer Collection License within one year.
Qualified licenses reflect additional pay.
Prefer an applicant that holds a Class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement.
Salary is dependent on qualifications.

Responsibilities:
- Perform physical labor tasks as assigned by the supervisor - Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment - Operate hand and power tools - Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials - Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth to prepare for construction - Assist with the installation of various construction materials - Follow all safety guidelines and regulations on the job site - Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role preferred but not required - Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects - Familiarity with hand and power tools is a plus - Basic knowledge of construction practices and techniques is beneficial - Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors Note:
